International student admission procedures.

Welcome!

The following is important information related to application requirements and procedures for international students. You may complete your application for admission online, and the Certificate of Financial Responsibility (in PDF format) is available to download and print.

Please note that a decision regarding your admission will not be made until all of your materials have been received by the Office of Admissions. You are responsible for ensuring that any supporting documents requested by the Office of Admissions are sent directly to the address below. Once your file is complete you will be notified of your admission status.

If you are applying for summer only, please contact the Summer Session Office at the Office of the Registrar, Pullman WA 99164-1035, USA, (509) 335-2238, or at the Summer Session Web site.

  1. Complete and return the Washington State University International Student Undergraduate application.
  2. Enclose a check or money order for US $38 (Fall 2005) for the required non-refundable application processing fee.
  3. Order official TOEFL score from Educational Testing Service (Phone (609) 771-7500) to be forwarded to WSU. DO NOT SEND COPIES OF TOEFL. For exemptions from the TOEFL, please refer to the Admission Requirements English Proficiency information.
  4. If you graduated from an accredited high school in the USA, request that your complete official high school transcripts be sent to WSU.

    OR

    If you attended any college or university in the USA, request that complete official transcripts be sent to WSU. Grade reports are not acceptable in lieu of official transcripts.
  5. Submit the following with your application to the Washington State University Office of Admissions:

Complete and return the required Certificate of Financial Responsibility showing assured support for the first year and projected support for the total years needed to complete your degree. Projected support should reflect a 4% increase for each year of study.

Do not send copies or faxes of the Certificate of Financial Responsibility.
