Freshman admission steps.

1. Apply early!

Admission is offered to qualified applicants on a first-come, first-served basis. Our priority application dates are January 31 for fall semester and November 15 for spring semester. All materials must be postmarked by the priority application date. If you choose to attend a different semester than the one indicated on your application, you’ll need to re-apply.

2. Provide your transcripts and test scores

Have your high school send your official transcripts and have your SAT or ACT scores sent directly from the testing agency to the Office of Admissions.

3. Complete the following high school c ourses, all prerequisites for admission:

If you’re applying for admission directly from high school, you must maintain a satisfactory academic record and complete graduation before you enroll at the University.

4. Write and deliver your personal statement.

Use these questions to tell us about yourself and aspects of your life that are not evident from other information in your admission application.

You may deliver your personal statement while you are completing your online application or separately at www.wsu.edu/statement.  

5. Apply online (preferred) or on paper.
