Alive! Summer Orientation

Plan your trip to Pullman.

The first day of each freshmen Alive! session begins in the afternoon to better accommodate participants' travel schedules and students taking the mathematics placement examination.

Your first stop should be the WSU Visitors Center located at 225 N. Grand Ave, 509-335-8633 or visit their website, http://www.wsu.edu/visitor/.  You can then check in at the Gannon-Goldsworthy residence halls between 12:30 and 4:30 p.m. on the first day of your session.

  • If you're taking the mathematics placement examination, you should plan to arrive by 2:00 p.m.
  • All sessions will end at 3:30 p.m. on day 3.

Coming to Pullman

Plane: You can fly directly into the Pullman-Moscow Airport (four miles from campus). For flight information into Pullman visit the Horizon Airlines Web site. If you fly into Spokane (80 miles from campus), call Wheatland Express, 800-334-2207, or visit their Web site for transportation from the airport to campus.

Bus: Major bus routes, including Greyhound, pass through Pullman. The bus stop is located downtown, approximately two miles from campus.

Driving: Driving time from Seattle is approximately five hours; from Spokane, one-and-one-half hours; and from Portland, six hours. Print detailed directions.

Parking: Alive! participants will be able to park near the residence halls associated with the program. Permits and maps will be given out at the WSU visitors center.

Recreational vehicles: Check with Alive! staff when you arrive for on-campus parking arrangements.
