A day in the life.

What a day!

My alarm sings out into the atmosphere of my room like the voice of the world’s greatest opera singer. This sound pierces my ears and shatters my dream into millions of fractions. My bed is a twin size, so my alarm snooze button is within the reach of my finger tips. So I hit the smooth button with great force, and the sound of the alarm comes to an abrupt stop. My twin bed is also located in a position where I can pull back the French vanilla colored drapes and see what gift the weather of Pullman is presenting me on this day. To my satisfaction all I see is blue skies with a few puffy cloud structures moving with the faint flow of the breeze.

With more motivation now, I wake up and head to my kitchen, where I see my roommates getting ready for their day. We all greet each other and, while doing so, I open the freezer and pick out the best microwavable dish I can find. Within 5 minutes my breakfast is ready. After eating I take a shower, get dressed and jump in my car, which is more like a child of mine.

I begin driving to campus and see many people I know waving. I reach the campus garage parking lot and I head to class, which usually is an all-day event, ending with me going to rehearsal for a performance I have coming up. Then I go to work, which is always an interesting experience. Then, after a long day of ripping and running, I head back home where all of my close friends are congregating and watching sports center or playing a game on the Play Station 2.

I converse with them for a while, then we all go our separate ways to do the homework thing, the girlfriend/fiancé/wife thing, and think about how the next day will be pretty much the same. But it’s okay because if you’re going to experience Groundhog Day, you should experience it with your close friends and loved ones. Then I go to sleep.

Today

So today has been pretty busy. I don't know how I got so lucky to have 4 day weekends-apparently that's not typical. Here it is Monday though and I got up fairly early for having no classes. I had to get ready for the preview tour, cause that's what I do as a Cougar Connector, but then my roommate called me because her car broke down at the bank. I feel bad for her because she is having a lot of car and money issues. But aren't we all?! Being broke has to be the worst part of being a college kid. I wish I had at least some money, especially with Christmas coming up!! So anyway, today I did the tours and then came home for an hour and now here I am back at work. After work I need to get cracking on my math homework! There is so much of it; I do NOT recommend procrastination. I wanted to go to the rec center today; I'm trying to make a habit of working out at least 3 times a week. I cannot wait to go home for Thanksgiving and spend time with my family, friends and boyfriend!! Long distance relationships are no fun, but I really think if there is a good relationship established it's possible. Shoot, I've been at it for 3 months now! That is crazy! I guess it would be different for incoming freshmen though, just because EVERYTHING is so new. I lucked out as a transfer because, although WSU is a completely different experience than community college, I still got to get out and meet new people and have fun. So for the most part I think this week will be good, but I am just far too anxious to go home to focus on anything else!
