Meet some WSU students.
Hailing from Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Paul is a senior focused on fine arts/graphic design for his major. But his WSU education reaches far wider than that.
When asked who his favorite professor was, Paul says, “Dave Leonard in comparative ethnic studies. He’s passionate about social justice addressing police brutality and the prison industrial complex. He motivated me to see things in different aspects. He loves to teach, has no tolerance for uncritical thought, and he loves to debate in non-traditional classroom methods.”
Paul’s favorite class, Experimental Video, had the kind of hands-on, creative elements that WSU strives for. He says, “I loved this class because I love using video as a medium for art, plus it’s interactive.”
