Who is eligible to attend and receive scholarships?
The Future Cougars of Color event is for high school seniors who have applied to Washington State University and have been offered admission. Attendance is by invitation only; invitations will be sent beginning in December to qualifying students who are residents of Washington state and will be entering their freshman year of college.
Eligibility
To be considered for participation in Future Cougars of Color, take the following steps by January 31:
- Complete an undergraduate application for admission and send it with official SAT or ACT scores and high school transcripts.
- Complete the University's academic scholarship application. You'll find both the scholarship application and the application for admission at www.apply.wsu.edu.
Note: You are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), so you may be considered for other financial aid opportunities. - Be accepted to WSU.
All students who meet the above criteria will be considered for invitation to the event. As Washington State University begins mailing acceptance letters in December, invitations to this event will automatically be sent to qualified students.
Though we do our best to provide for everyone who wishes to attend, space limitations mean that an invitation does not guarantee a spot at the event. If you want to attend, you should reserve your spot as soon as you receive your invitation.
If you can’t attend, you are still eligible for many other scholarships from Washington State University.
