National Merit Scholarship semifinalists gain increased WSU awards.

We've set aside scholarships to help you with tuition, University housing, and other college expenses.

Washington residents: $7,000 combined annual award, renewable for up to 4 years
Non-residents: approximately $11,700 combined annual award, renewable for up to 4 years

Apply for admission by January 31.

List WSU as your first choice with National Merit Corporation.

National Merit Corporation will ask you to indicate your first college choice. When you list Washington State University as your first college choice, we will confirm your national Merit Scholarship.

The following applications help you compete for more awards and apply for other resources.

To be considered for even more scholarship support from WSU, you should complete this simple application. The information that you provide helps you compete for scholarships from more than 700 programs.

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

We use the FAFSA results to see if you are eligible for grants, work-study, and loans. It also impacts how we award need-based scholarships and can help you qualify for other sources of aid such as affordable student loans. Fill out the application between January 1 and March 1 at the FAFSA site.
