Veterinary Medicine

The WSU College of Veterinary Medicine maintains an active scholarship and awards program. Each year, approximately $220,000 is awarded to students currently enrolled. WSU has some additional funds designated for incoming students that are awarded based upon academic achievement and need. Application for scholarships and awards is made through the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine's Office of Student Services in May for incoming students and in January for currently enrolled students.

Pharmacy

Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) students who have been admitted to the professional program are invited each year to complete an application for scholarships, which are applied to the following academic year. Many students who have financial need are awarded scholarships. For the 2005-06 academic year, nearly $200,000 in scholarship support was distributed by the college.

Communications

The Edward R. Murrow School of Communication has 19 scholarship funds and awards $50,000 in scholarships and fellowships annually. In addition, all communication majors may apply for University-level scholarships and more than $50,000 in scholarships awarded by the College of Liberal Arts.

Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Scholarships

For students interested in pursuing a commission as an officer in the Armed Forces, you may be eligible for scholarships from the Air Force, Navy, and Army ROTC programs. Apply through your high school counselor or directly through these ROTC departments: Aerospace Studies (800-622-5088), Military Science (509-335-2591), or Naval Science (208-885-6333).

Washington National Guard Waiver

Undergraduate tuition waivers reduce tuition by up to $1,000 for members of the Washington National Guard enrolling in Army ROTC courses. Contact the Military Science Department at 509-335-2591 for more information.
