This professor's blend of theory and reality maximizes your learning.

Theory isn’t meaningful without real-world understanding. That drives professor of molecular sciences Nancy Magnuson to enrich your learning environment with a broad range of real applications of classroom theories.
“I want my students to walk away from class feeling they have gained important insights into one of the basic areas of medicine,” she says. “Hopefully, when it comes to having an opinion about some important health issues in our lives, they will be able to take an appropriate stand.
”A leader in medical research on cancer, Dr. Magnuson’s passion for her work is unmistakable, and her enthusiasm rubs off on her students and colleagues.
Dr. Magnuson is active in the Spokane chapter of the American Cancer Society, the U.S. Army review panel that awards grants for research on prostate and breast cancer, and the advisory board for the WSU Cancer Prevention and Research Center.
